The Second Jal-Mahotsav this time also shall be on a much larger scale in Hanuwantiya. Jal Mahotsav shall begin from December 15 and conclude on January 15, 2017.
According to the announcement of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, second Jal Mahotsav shall be for one month. This time the tourist will be able to enjoy the tour in the days of year end and winter holidays amidst Natural Beauty and exuberant waters. Along with water sports activities, exciting and adventure activities shall also be organised in Jal-Mahotsav. Other attraction this time shall be operation of House Boat on the lines of Shikaras of Kashmir and Kerela.
Here the Operation of Cruise and Motor Boat, Jalpari is being done before hand. For enticing the tourist this time activities shall be organised on Boriyamaal Iceland and other Islands. During this the primary arrangements for Jal-Mahotsav have already been started.
Keeping in view the mega success of Jal-Mahotsav and percentage of tourists arriving from far off the Swiss cottage shall be available to tourists in the Second Jal-Mahotsav by Madhya Pradesh Tourism. Various activities centered on Exciting and Adventure Tourism shall be organized. In these water sports, Island camping, Adventure activities, Hot air ballooning, Para Sailing, Para Motors, Star gazing, Water skiing, Jet Skiing, Water Zorbing, Burma Bridge, Artificial Climbing Wall, Bird Watching, Trekking, Treasure Hunt, Night Camping etc. Activities are included. Other than these through craft bazaar exhibition of Handicrafts, programmes centered on cultural activities etc. shall be organized. Delicious and Tasteful Plan could also be enjoyed.
Notably, the place named Hanuwantiya near Indira Sagar Dam situated in Khandwa District has been developed as water sports complex by Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation. It has been built in the form of Major Tourism and Water Sports Centre. Cottage, restaurant and Boat Club etc. have been made here by the Corporation. For making the entire complex full of greenery tree plantation has been done and lighting has been decorated.
