Out of total of 1,44,25,460 voters, 91, 65,123 voters cast their votes during the first phase lok Sabha polls in 17 districts and 70 Vidhan Sabha constituencies in the State. Of these, some constituencies cover two districts each. Poll percentage in Balaghat district was 68.86 per cent, in Barghat and Seoni districts 72.75 and 65.13 per cent respectively.
In Chhindwara district, polling percentage was 77.46%, Junnardeo 76.33%, Amarwada 79.09%, Chorai 80.95%, Saunsar 81.18%, Parasiya 78.17% and Pandhurna Vidhan Sabha constituencies 80.75%.Polling percentage in Hoshangabad Vidhan Sabha constituency was 63.76%, Seoni-Malwa 68.11%, Sohagpur 68.85%, Pipariya 69.33%, in Nasinghpur Vidhan Sabha constituency in Narsinghpur district 66.61%, Tendukhera 65.42%, Gadarwara 65.05% and in Raisen district’s Udaipura Vidhan Sabha 59.26%.
In Jabalpur district’s Patan Vidhan Sabha seat, poll percentage was 56.8%, Bargi 61.21%, Jabalpur-East 54.97%, Jabalpur-North 61.49%, Jabalpur Cantt 58.37%, Jabalpur-West 56.62%, Panagar 59.82% and Sihora 59.31%.In Mandla parliamentary seat’s Bichhiya Vidan Sabha constituency, poll percent was 62.2%, Niwas 66.62%, Mandla 66.0%, in Dindori districts’s Shahpura Vidhan Sabha constituency 67.58% and Dindori 72.98%, Gotegaon in Narsinghpur district 65.48% and in Seoni district’s Keolari and lakhnadaun 68.35% and 64.25% respectivley.
In Rewa parliamentary constitutnecy’s Sirmaur Vidhan Sabha constitunecy, polling percentage was 50.9%, Semariya 55.78%, Teonthar 52.24%, Mauganj 51.43%, Devtalab 53.39%, Mangawan 56.3%, Rewa 54.22% and Gurh 56.07%.In Satna parliamentary constitutnecy’s Chitrakoot Vidhan Sabha constitunecy, polling percentage was 58.29%, Raigaon 63.27%, Satna 60.21%, Nagaud 65.14%, Maihar 59.17%, Amarpatan 65.32% and Rampur Baghelan 67.18%.
In Shahdol district’s Kotma Vidhan Sabha constitunecy, polling percentage was 59.57%, Anuppur 60.08%, Pushprajgarh 66.72%, in Katni district’s Barwara 54.2%, Jaisingh Nagar 71.54% and Jaitpur 70.08%, in Umaria district’s Bandhavgarh 58.72% and Manpur 54.81%.In Sidhi parliamentary constitutnecy’s Sidhi Vidhan Sabha constituency, polling percentage was 55.62%, Churhat 57.62%, Sihawal 56.67%, Doahni 56.84%, in Singrauli district’s Chitrangi 57.3%, Singrauli 54.95% and Devsar 52.52% and in Shahdol district’s Beohari 62.43% votes were casted.
