The Social Democratic Party of India, (SDPI), has termed the act of giving a clean chit to Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, the main accused in the 2008 Malegaon bomb blast case, by the NIA, (National Investigating Agency), as utterly outrageous, atrocious and disgraceful.
SDPI said Sadhvi Pragya had gone up to Supreme Court seeking bail. If evidence was so weak, she would have got bail.
What a brazen misuse of power and mockery of justice. This is how justice is sabotaged; this is how institutions are undermined. It is most deplorable, the party stressed.
SDPI Madhya Pradesh unit president Advocate Sajid Siddiqui in a statement said that NIA has become a new avatar of “Parrot” of Government India and a pet of the ruling BJP and RSS.
In their desire to give clean chits to their criminal friends, RSS/BJP have destroyed India's integrity and standing in the international community. It shows the governments that come to power can dilute a case, write off a case, fabricate a case and literally do anything.
The court should step in to take appropriate action and make sure that this case is handled independently. Also the Supreme Court should set the stage for taking out central and state governments from any criminal prosecution.
Siddiqui said NIA, the prestigious investigation agency of our country, has become a toothless puppet agency in the hands of our government. They have developed a habit of filing supplementary charge-sheet to protect saffron brigade and punish innocent Muslims.
This recently happened in the Malegaon case where nine innocent Muslims were discharged by the court after nine years though NIA opposed it tooth and nail so that saffron brigade of Pragya and Sangh Parivar can be saved and innocent Muslims like in the past can be hanged.
And probably this was the reason due to which Hemant Karkare, the ATS Chief of Maharashtra who dared to expose and arrest Hindu Terrorists, paid the extreme penalty and was killed in a precisely planned and perfectly executed conspiracy.
