Scindia slams BJP Govt over farmers' death

Senior Congress parliamentarian Jyotiraditya Scindia lashed out at the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government of Madhya Pradesh over  death of farmers in police firing in Mandsaur on Tuesday.

Scindia in a statement said that death of farmers in the Government of farmer’s son is shameful. The chief whip of Congress in lok Sabha added that death of protesting farmers by police bullets is cowardly act of the Shivraj Government. “If the BJP Government of the state wants to deal with the agitating farmers with bullets than nothing could be more shameful than that. Chief Minister off and tha  boasts of being farmers’ son and if the farmers are dying of police bullets in his rule than what could be more worst than this,” Scindia added.

Scindia further said that in fact the Chief Minister could never understand the pain and sorrows of the farmers and this being the reason that a couple of days back he announced that after holding discussions with me the farmers agitation has been called off but the fact is that the agitation is going on till now. The Shivraj Government at the place of solving farmer’s problems is doing firing on them that is the proof of this Government’s adverse thinking over farmers, he added.

He said that at the place of calling real farmers leaders to hold talks and consider their demands if the Government would use police bullets on them than where would the farmers go to plead.

Home Minister of the State is also saying that now farmers agitation would be dealt with strictly that clears the intent of the government that now the Government took support of lathi and bullets.  The Congress party condemns the firing over farmers and demands its judicial probe so that the agitating firmest could get justice.
