Union Minister of State for Energy Jyotiraditya Scindia on Saturday laid the foundation stone for a Rs 100-crore, 150-tonne per annum steel factory in Bilaua. To be set up over 14 acres, the factory would supply Bhilai Steel Plant and employ over 500 people.

Interestingly, the foundation stone has been laid once before too by former Union Minister of Steel Ram Vilas Paswan. Scindia also dedicated a power grid of 765 KVA, on Gwalior-Agra-Pareshan line, in Adupura. The line will get power from Vindhyachal and Seepat premises of western zone via Bina through a link from Gwalior. It is expected to have considerable impact on the power system of the region. Earlier, the Union Minister attended a board meeting at Scindia School. He now visits Shivpuri and will leave for Delhi by train from Jhansi on July 23.
