Science Communicators Meet held at Vigyan Bhavan

The Science Communicators Meet 2015 was organised here on Sunday at Seminar Hall, Vigyan Bhavan Madhya Pradesh Council for Science and Technology (MPCST).

Notably, the 102nd Indian Science Congress will be held at Mumbai from January 3 to 7. The focal theme of Science Congress-2015 is Science and Technology for the Human Development. During the Indian Science Congress-2015 a Science Communicators Meet will also be organized at Mumbai.

Indian Science Congress Association , Bhopal Chapter organised the  Science Communicators Meet 2015 here on Sunday where Selected science communicators will present their power point presentations on focal theme Science and Technology for the Human  Development.

Two science communicator (One for Oral and One for Poster) was selected by selection committee which comprises of Prof PK Verma, DG, MPCST, Bhopal (DST, Nominee); Prof Santosh Kumar, Former VC, Sagar University, Sagar (ISCA, Kolkata Nominee); Dr VK Parashar, Convener ISCA ,Bhopal Chapter and Manju Tembhre, Treasurer, ISCA, Bhopal Chapter .

The selected science communicator will get TA/DA (Borne by ISCA/NCSTC).These participants will also get an opportunity to attend the Science Congress session at Mumbai. The registration fee in that case will also be paid by ISCA. The selected science communicators will receive invitation letter from the General Secretary (Headquarters).

On this occasion, Annual General Body meeting of ISCA, Bhopal Chapter was also held in which VK Parashar, Convener, ISCA, Bhopal Chapter briefed about the chapter activities during 2013-14 and during meeting future planning during 2014-15 was also discussed. Telephone directory and 10 year achievement book of Bhopal chapter was also released by Prof PK Verma. Prof Shashi Rai, Former, UGC Member, Prof AK Gwal, Prof Anil Prakash and other life members were especially present on this auspicious day.
