Habibganj police have booked a school teacher for attempting to kidnap a 14-year-old girl from a private school on Tuesday.
Police said that the victim went missing on Tuesday during the school and later found late in the evening. The victim is a student of Nalanda Public school and sais that she was accompanied by her school teacher who used to teach computer at her school.
The Investigating Officer Dharmendra Morya SI said that the victim is a class 7 student and studies at Nalanda Public School.
On Tuesday after the victim failed to reach the school, school staff informed the parents and after they failed to track the victim they lodged a missing complaint with the police.
later, late in the evening the victim appeared and claimed that before the school she was lured by her school teacher Mayank Sarathe who used to teach computer earlier. He accompanied her to Sair Sapata and later left her near her house, she told the police.The teacher is missing and search for him has been started. The teacher used to teach at the school and details regarding him have been collected to find his whereabouts.
Initially the parents reached Misrod police station where a zero FIR case was registered and case was transferred to Habibganj police where case was registered against the accused.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 363 of the IPC and section 11 and 12 of Protection of Children against Sexual Offences Act-2012.Search for the accused teacher has been intensified by the police.
