Berasia court has sentenced a government school teacher to rigorous life imprisonment for raping a 10-year-old girl on the pretext of giving her water and has been punished with a fine of Rs 10,000.
Special Public Prosecutor Ashish Tiwari argued on behalf of the government in the court. Tiwari said that the court of Dnyaneshwari Kumre sentenced rape accused teacher Prem Singh Dangi on Tuesday.
The accused used to misbehave with the girl in return for giving water. He first acted on March 3, 2021 and on September 9, he raped the victim. Later when the girl started bleeding, her mother thought that her period must have come but when the bleeding did not stop even after a week, the relatives took her to the doctor. Then the girl told about the brutality of the teacher.
Based on the heinous crime and complaint by the family police registered a case and arrested the accused.
According to the information, the house of Prem Singh Dangi, a government school teacher, is near the house of the 10-year-old girl. Dangi has laid a pipeline from the tube well in the field to bring water to his home. He also gives water to the people of the locality.
The girl also used to go to fetch water from his house, when she had gone to fill water on March 3, 2021, the teacher molested her. After this the girl got so scared that she stopped going to fetch water.
After three-four days, the accused again persuaded the girl to fill water by luring her. The innocent started going to fetch water trusting him. The girl went to fetch water on September 9 when the accused locked her in the bathroom and sexually assaulted her.
The accused, Prem Singh Dangi has a farm in the town. He lived alone in the town, while his entire family lives in Bhopal. The wife used to come and go to the village. The Education Department was also informed for action against the accused. Departmental action was also taken against him. Now the department will take further action on it.
