School Education Minister Paras Jain made a surprise inspection of the State Open School here on Wednesday. He checked the attendance of officers and employees in the attendance register. All officers marked present in the register were found present in the office.
Jain said that officers and employees should discharge their duties earnestly. Delay in works will not be tolerated. On the complaint by a youth named Mukesh, the Minister directed to issue show cause notice to concerning officer for not attesting mark-sheets for last 3 months. Jain said that mark-sheets received from departments should be attested within time-limit. Paras Jain inspected receipt-dispatch, exam hall and record room and directed to streamline arrangements. He said that prescribed process for maintaining records of exam etc. must be followed. Jain also directed for early disposal of applications pending in receipt-dispatch room.
He expressed unhappiness over lack of sanitary arrangements and directed to install a new water cooler. Jain said that duplicate mark-sheets should also be provided to students within time-limit. He also sought information about evaluation of answer-sheets. After inspection, he held discussions with Director SK Tripathi and improve arrangements. He said that students should not face any difficulty in obtaining mark-sheets, duplicate mark-sheets etc.
