State Bank of India has taken a new initiative by installing an ATM Card Printing Kiosk and Account Opening Kiosk in ‘sbi INTOUCH’ branch at MP Nagar Bhopal. There are only two sbi INTOUCH branches in Bhopal, one in MP Nagar Bhopal and other is in Gamon Mall, TT Nagar Bhopal. These sbi INTOUCH branches have unique facility to provide their customers a printed ATM Cards with photograph, along with Passbook and Internet facility.
Debashish Mishra, Regional Manager, RBO-1, Bhopal has provided the information that State Bank of India is the first bank during this digitization era to provide Account Opening Kiosk and Debit Card Printing Kiosk for their customers. Bank has already working on this project since last one year.
These kiosks are available in all 243 sbi INTOUCH branches in the Country & all these branches are ‘Cashless’. Mishra has also told that, transaction types in these branches are same as normal branches and customers have “Recycler” for online cash deposit transactions, “e-Check Drop” for cheque deposit, “Internet Kiosk” for online transactions, “Account Opening Kiosk” for account opening, “Debit Card Printing Kiosk” for ATM issuing cards. Bank official will be available/ required for Account Opening Kiosk and Debit Card Printing Kiosk and all other services are available in 24X7.
The main attraction of sbi INTOUCH branches are Account Opening Kiosk and Debit Card Printing Kiosk, for which customer has to provide only original documents and the rest information submitted online, ie photo, signature scanning & etc. After submission of entire customer information, a reference number is generated and with the help of this reference number an ATM card with name and photograph is printed effortlessly. The whole procedure takes only 10 to 15 minutes and it saves precious time and energy.
At present there is nine sbi INTOUCH branches in Madhya Pradesh whereas Chhattisgarh state has three sbi INTOUCH branches and these branches are attracting youth a lot.
