With the onset of the festive season, city people are all geared up to shop full swing. Keeping in mind the demand of heavy shopping, the Sawan Mela has been organised by Mrignayanee Emporium, Madhya Pradesh Handloom Handicraft Corporation Development. The fair, ending on august 9, has been organised at Gauhar Mahal and is drawing huge crowd.
Sawan Mela has stocked a huge range of dress materials, handloom and other handicraft material from across the State, like chanderi, maheshwari, kosa Silk, decorative pieces, bronze statues and bamboo furniture among others.
Coordinator of the fair, Arvind Sharma, while talking to The Pioneer said, “Sawan Mela shows just MP art unlike other fairs.” He further said, “People are allured to buy these material and decorative pieces that too at affordable prices.” “The response is pretty good till now. People are being captivated towards buying the material and decorative pieces too at affordable prices,” said Sharma.
