As the monsoon season arrives, it brings a lot of enthusiasm along. The women of the city enjoyed the rainy season with a lot of dance, music, games and lot more. Savaan Utsav, ‘Megha Bahar’ was organised at Inner Wheel Club Auditorium here on Wednesday.
The Savaan Utsav was organised by Inner Wheel Club, Bhopal. While talking to The Pioneer, President of the club, Bhopal Vibha Singh said, “We organise this event every year to enjoy the happy mood of the season and also we try to involve all the club members into an enjoyable atmosphere.” Elaborating further she said, “As all the women associated with the club go through a hectic schedule working for the society and its welfare. So planning this kind of event would lighten up their hectic work schedule as they would indulge themselves into some fun activities.”
As many as 40 club members were present during the event. The members did a lot of fun activities. A mini fair of colourful bangles, mehendi stall were there. The members also played a lot of fun games like antakshari, where all the female members sang the songs of rainy season. “Though we sang the filmi songs not the folk savaan songs, but still we enjoyed the delight of the season as all the members sat together and sang the songs,” Vibha Singh added further.
The centre point of attraction of the Savaan Utsav was that all the members wore green coloured dresses that represent the colour of the monsoon. Besides, the ladies there were distributed with bangles and also applied mehendi on their palm as a part of the event.
Not only this, the members also distributed small saplings of plants to give an environmental friendly message. They also planted around 40 saplings at a nearby village and also distributed bangles and duppattas at an orphanage ‘Balika Grah’ located at Kota.
The event was joyful as all the ladies enjoyed the season with a lot of fervor and
ecstasy.
