Patel to contest from Indore lok Sabha seat

Even as both the BJP and the Congress candidates are yet to file their nomination papers for Indore lok Sabha seat, they have already started their campaign in their own ways.

Morning walkers at Residency area were taken aback seeing a man in spotless white shirt and trousers with a tri-colour towel dangling from his shoulder running and doing yoga.As majority of the morning walkers did not recognise him, the man folding his hands, introduced himself as Satyanarayan Patel, a Congress candidate from Indore lok Sabha seat and sought support from them in the ensuing Parliamentary elections in Indore.

Seeing him, one of the women asked Patel how come he visited the place as no MP or MlA before ever visited them and inquired about their problems.Replying to her question, Patel said that unlike others, he wants to change this trend. “I have purposely come here to meet you all, know your problems unlike the present sitting MlA from the constituency”, the Congress candidate said.

After taking part in the morning walk, Patel also did yoga exercises along with other people in the Residency area and solicited support from the people for him in the ensuing elections. From Residency area, Patel left for Choithram mandi where he met farmers and traders and sought their support.

Unlike previous elections, the Congress has changed mode of campaigning in the current elections with party leaders and workers even in absence of Patel undertaking visits of slum areas and seeking support in favour of their party's candidate.

On Wednesday morning also, a group of Congress workers and leaders led by senior Congress leaders Chandraprabhash Shekhar and Suresh Minda visited Karbala, Dhobighat, Jawahar Nagar, lalbagh and Shekhar Nagar localities and sought support from the slum dwellers in favour of the Congress candidate.
