An encounter took place between the police and notorious satta operator of the city after midnight. The police stated that the miscreant Ramu Jadon was arrested red handed in Sindhi Colony, but he alleged that the police entered his house through the terrace and took away cash, TV, mobile phones, laptop and licensed gun. The incident took place after 1.30 am last night.
Addl SP crime Pratibha Mathew said that the police received information that notorious satta operator Ramu alias Birjmohan Singh Jadon was engaged in betting with Bholu alias Pramod Khandelwal near water tank on Sindhi Colony road. Acting on the information, Madhavganj SHO raided the spot with force and arrested Ramu Jadon and Pramod Khandelwal. The police said a Rs49,670 in cash, a 315 bore revolver with satta slips were found with Ramu Jadon while a sum of Rs12,230 and betting slip were found with Pramod Khandelwal. The police arrested them and registered a case. The SHO Sanjeev Nayan Sharma said that information about Ramu Jadon is a notorious satta operator was caught last night. The police raided the spot and arrested Ramu and Bholu with Rs51,000 cash and satta slips along with a revolver and two live cartridges. Ramu Jadon’s wife Rani and his son Vikas alleged that the police entered their house in the night through the terrace. They caught Ramu Jadon and beat woman and girls and ransacked the house.
