A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi had slammed those in the party who often cross the line publically with their misdeeds, a Bharatiya Janata Party MLA in Satna on Wednesday vowed to get one of the party leaders released from jail even if bloodshed was required for the same.
The saffron party MLA, Ramkhelawan Patel said this during a protest organised against the arrest of party leader Ram Sushil Patel who was arrested by police on charges of assaulting Chief Municipal Officer of Ramanagar municipality Devratna Soni. Soni was seriously injured in the assault by Patel and his supporters.
Meanwhile, addressing a protest rally in Satna on Wednesday, MLA Patel said, “We would make Patel (Ram Sushil) is released from jail.” “Iske liye BJP ko khoon bhi bahana pada to party iske liye taiyar hai (For this, if bloodshed was required, the party was ready for the same).”
The crowd also cheered Patel’s announcement and chanted Jai Sri Ram slogans. Present on the occasion, Churhat BJP MLA Shardendu Tiwari did not object to the remarks from his fellow lawmaker.
The CMO in the past had complained to police about threats from the Ramnagar nagar panchayat Ram Sushil Patel. Meanwhile the BJP leader after the incident also had filed a counter FIR against the government officer accusing of attack at the behest of a local Congress leader.
