City player Sara Yadav performed brilliantly at the National Ranking Tennis Tournament 2018 and bagged the title of all round winner in both singles and doubles category.
The tournament was organized in Chandigarh from November 12 to 16. Sara is the TT Nagar Day Boarding player of the city. Sara Yadav performed brilliantly showcased her talent where the player won the title of the winner in the singles category while she gave a tough competition to her competitior and brought laurels to the State by winning the same title in by winning in the final match of the doubles category.
Sara Yadav won the title of the winner by defeating Chandigarh's Kavita Sahni with 6-2 and 6-3 points in straight sets. Similarly, in the final match of the tournament, Sara Yadav, along with Chandigarh’s player Prinkal Singh, performed brilliantly. They played against Chandigarh's Kavya and Bengaluru’s player Sharania. The team defeated the pair by 6-2, 6-2 and emerged as the winner of the category. Winner player Sara was felicitated with trophy and cash prize.
Here on Wednesday Sara Yadav met the Director Sports and Youth Welfare SL Thoussen. He appreciated her for the achievement she bagged in Chandigarh. Sports Director Thausen lauded Sarah's performance and congratulated her while expressing his contentment on becoming a winner. Joint Director B. S. Yadav, Tennis coach Kalpana Tiwari and father of Sarah Yadav were also present on this occasion.
It is noteworthy that Day Boarding Tennis Player Sara Yadav is trained under the guidance of tennis coach Prakash Shukla and Kalpana Tiwari at TT Nagar Stadium.
