Salma, Shameem hail PM on fake 'gau rakshaks'

We are the living example of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s words that Gau Rakshaks (cow vigilantes) do hooliganism and that they are goons in the cover of cow vigilantes,” said Salma and Shameem who were beaten by the Bajrang Dal activists in Mandsaur last month over rumours that they were possessing beef.
They talked to The Pioneer here on Tuesday, after they visited the State Woman Commission, MP Human Rights Commission and MP Minority Commission. They are demanding strict action against those who were involved in beating them as they are not satisfied with the action taken against them till now.
Salma and Shameem who were allegedly beaten by the cow vigilantes under police custody said, “We are still living in terror after July 26 incident, the cow vigilantes and Bajrang Dal activists reach our houses daily and threats us. PM Modi is correct about cow vigilantes that they are goons.”
Shameem said as the mutton is costly that is why buffalo meat is eaten by thousands of people in our area and rest of the State and country. “Getting strength from PM Modi’s statement we came here to register our protest. We have registered complaints with MP Woman Commission, MP Human Rights Commission and MP Minority Commission.”
Both the women alleged that the Bajrang Dal activists are threatening them to withdraw case and if the case is not withdrawn, they should get ready for dire consequences.
Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) Madhya Pradesh president Advocate Sajid Siddiqui helped the women lodge their complaint in all the three Commissions. “The woman would return to Mandsaur in the evening but we would also register complaint with the Director General of Police (DGP) and Chief Secretary (CS) besides the door of Governor would also be knocked,” he added.
Notably, Salma and Shameem were beaten up at Mandsaur railway station on July 26, on suspicion of varying beef. Four males and two women were arrested for the assault they were later released on bail.
