Huge ruckus was created by locals and Congress leaders during the removal of encroachment of the restaurant in Karond area; Congressmen staged a protest claiming the action is politically inspired.
Police removed them forcibly after they refused to leave the place and obstruct razing of encroachment.
In this incident case, a case has been registered against Congress leader Manoj Shukla for obstructing government work.
District administration, municipal corporation and police personnel had reached to investigate and remove the encroachment of Saini restaurant at Karond intersection and when the staff including SDM Manoj Verma took action to remove the encroachment, Congress leader Shukla reached the spot and started protesting.
After that they sat there on dharna and when the police tried to remove them, they did not move. Due to this, the policemen caught them and removed them. Then action was taken to remove the encroachment.
After this, the employees of the Municipal Corporation started removing the encroachments. Within no time the encroachment including the shed was removed.
The restaurant is being told of a Congress leader. Due to this, the Congress had reached to protest the action of the administration. The police had to make a lot of effort to remove Shukla sitting on the dharna. When the policemen started removing, Shukla said- Digvijay Singh has said that he should not leave. However, after some time the policemen forcibly removed Shukla. Nishatpura TI Mahendra Singh Chauhan said, a case has been registered against Manoj Shukla for obstructing government work.
The restaurant was found filthy and case against the owner has been registered against the owners of Saini restaurant Geetaprasad Saini and Santosh Pal under section 269 of the Indian Penal Code at Nishatpura police station.
This action was taken by SDM Verma. During the investigation, unhygienic conditions were found in the restaurant. Items like samosas and jalebis were kept in open utensils among the dirt. Food Safety Officer Bhojraj Singh Dhakad has taken samples of Gulab Jamun, Meethi Chutney and Kadhi due to doubts in the quality.
