Road Transport Office work was handled outside by agents and inside the office private computer operators were deployed. At Padav, RTO situated new registration branch has kept four personal computer operators.
These computer operators are working here and it is under the knowledge of senior officers also. As they are working regularly since then no action has been taken for last so many years. These private computer operators are handling the work of new registration office of RTO.
At RTO office registration work of vehicles are handled by these computer operators which are illegally kept by office clerical staff. One private operator whose name is Satyendra monitors the work of these private workers. Clerk Munshilal has totally dependent on Bhagirath who is agent in RTO office and when he is unable then retired clerk Vishnu Asthana look after the official work of RTO.
At RTO registration office only two clerks are working. They have team of fifteen peoples out of which four works in office and other are deputed at vehicle dealer’s showroom. RTO agents charge 600 rupees apart from registration fee of two wheelers and didn’t hand over the receipt to the owner of the vehicle. It is informed that every day fifty vehicles registrations done in RTO office and through illegal means thirty thousand rupees were charges from the owners of the vehicles. This illegal money is still generating at RTO office.
RTO SPS Chauhan has said that in RTO registration office private workers are not allowed for work and if someone is working in illegal way and soon action will be performed whoever is responsible for it.
