Right to Information (RTI) activist from the city, Ajay Dubey, has demanded apology from Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for making false promise with the people of State in the name of Swami Vivekanand.
Dubey in a statement on Sunday said, “Chouhan announced in the year 2013 that a bench would be formed in the Administrative Academy of the State capital, as known by all now that Chief Minister makes many announcements and most of them remain live only on papers. He made similar announcement using name of Swami Vivekanand for political gains and forgot it.”
Dubey said that Chouhan said at that time that the aim to form Swami Vivekanand bench in the administrative academy was to aware the officials with the notions of integrity, transparency and humanism of this great personality.
He said that the documents obtained through RTI reveal that Chouhan made announcement in this regard in May 2013 and instructed the administrative academy for its establishment, the note sheet of CM’s secretary Hari Ranjan Rao confirms this and further informs that Chief Minister was to review the progress in the issue in June 2013. But neither the bigmouthed Chief Minister ever reviewed it neither bothered to provide till date the Rs 26 lakh sought for its establishment, he added.
He said that the board of governors of the academy that is headed by the Minister of the General Administration Department (GAD) also sanctioned the establishment of Swami Vivekanand Bench. The academy appointed IFS Gopa Pande as the in-charge office for this project besides writing dozens of letters to the GAD that is directly under the CM during the past 17 months for Rs 26 lakh financial add but the Shivraj government failed to provide any assistance, he added.
Dubey alleged that the chief minister Chouhan has lost control over the bureaucracy in Madhya Pradesh that has gone unbridled. The sample of this is that five days back on October 14 the director of the academy Shikha Dube considering establishment of this bench unnecessary decide to inform the government with her decision, he added.
