A workshop will be organised by Regional Science Centre to make people aware about various diseases that could be caused by minute irresponsible behaviour. The workshop would also inform the masses about new diseases that have some common symptoms and at the premises of the organising body.
Notably, every Saturday, the workshop informing about these chronic diseases would be held. Medical experts would give away the information through presentations and popular lectures so that more and more people could get aware.
While talking about the workshop, Educational Officer of Regional Science Centre, Charudatta Pulliwar said, “Public health is in danger these days. On one side, we say that we have achieved success in restricting polio worldwide and at the same time, another virus called 'ebola' is taking toll in Africa. Proper public health care system, sanitation and everybody's easy access to primary health care are the essential demands of the situation.”
He further said, “Organisations like the WHO, UNESCO, localised health care institutions, etc are putting lots of efforts to check many diseases to bring life back on track.”
Elaborating further, he said, “Regional Science Centre, Bhopal is organising a health lecture series with a primary aim to make students and general public aware of their health.” Notably, the programme is planned every Saturday from August 23 till September 13.
As a part of the series, eminent doctors, surgeons from the city will be delivering the lectures on relevant themes. The first lecture would be addressed on theme 'Backpain in Students'.
