Valuables worth Rs5 lakh, including Rs3.5 lakh cash, were stolen from DK Towers on JK Road, under Piplani Police Station area on Sunday. Police said that the victim Aman Bansal along with his family had gone to the market and when they returned, the locks of the main door were broken. When they entered the house they found that the house was ransacked and gold and silver ornaments were missing. Among the gold ornaments, a gold chain, four pairs of anklets and four pairs of gold earrings were burgled from victim’s house. The circumstantial evidence suggests that the miscreant had details regarding the money and valuables since only the almirah that contained money and valuables was ransacked. Other goods such as laptop and cell phones were not stolen. The victim has raised suspicion on two of his domestic helps. The police are going to question the domestic helps, which could help in providing vital clues. The police have registered a case under Section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
