The Central Crime Branch busted a gang of thieves and recovered stolen electronic items worth Rs3 lakh from them. The gang was involved in thefts reported from outskirts of the city, police said on Sunday. According to police, seven youths have been arrested in this connection. They were identified as Roshan Yadav, lokesh Chandrakar, Bhushan Kurrey, Mitesh Sahu, Indra Kumar Chandrakar, Ishwar Jangde and Mukesh Chandrakar- all residents of Paloud village under the limits of Mandir Hasod police station. The gang was active for past few months. They had committed theft in Kalinga University, Mandir Hasoud in month of July this year. They had sneaked into a mobile shop located in Mana Camp and ran away with mobile handsets in month of August this year.
