Electronic and electrical goods worth Rs 5 lakh were stolen from a store at Indrapuri area under Piplani police station area on Sunday.
Police said the victim Alok Garg lodged a complaint regarding of burglary of brand new 21 smartphones, one laptop, 3 LED TV sets, one camera, mobile accessories and a music system were burgled. The total loss claimed by the victim was Rs 5 lakh in the incident.
In his complaint the victim stated that in the morning when they went to open the shop the shutter was found broken and on entering the goods were found burgled.
The shop was having CCTV camera and burglars escaped with the camera in the shop. The nearby shops having cameras installed which would be investigated in the further investigation. The spot has been visited by FSL team and crime branch would be investigating the case along with the Piplani police.
Based on the complaint the police have registered a case under sections 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation. The employee who works for the victim and nearby employees of shopkeepers would be quizzed in the investigation.
