The Directorate of Urban Administration and Development has sanctioned a total amount of Rs 114.79 crore of 14th Finance Commission's General Basic Grant 2019-20 to 378 urban bodies.
On the basis of census-2011, 90 percent and on the basis of area, 10 percent of the amount has been sanctioned.
In the sanctioned amount, Rs 27.01 crore to 264 Nagar Parishads, Rs 33.55 crore to 98 Nagar Palikas and Rs 54.23 crore to16 Municipal Corporations have been sanctioned.
Out of the sanctioned amount, Rs 10.67 crore have been sanctioned to Bhopal Municipal Corporation. Similarly, Rs 6 crore 41 lakh 3 thousand to Gwalior, Rs 01 crore 53 lakh 52 thousand to Morena, Rs 11 crore 76 lakh 58 thousand to Indore, Rs 01 crore 11 lakh 51 thousand to Khandwa, Rs 01 crore 12 lakh 94 thousand to Burhanpur, Rs 6 crore 60 lakh 95 thousand to Jabalpur, Rs 01 crore 15 lakh 32 thousand to Chhindwara, Rs 01 crore 28 lakh 39 thousand to Katni, Rs 01 crore 48 lakh 63 thousand to Rewa, Rs 01 crore 59 lakh 30 thousand to Satna, Rs 01 crore 63 lakh 13 thousand to Singrauli, Rs 01 crore 83 lakh 24 thousand to Sagar, Rs 2 crore 86 lakh 35 thousand to Ujjain, Rs 01 crore 69 lakh 6 thousand to Dewas and Rs 01 crore 45 lakh 81 thousand to Municipal Corporation Ratlam have been sanctioned.
