Two youths were killed, and one sustained severe injuries after a motorcycle they were riding on rammed onto a road divider at VIP Road under Koh-e-Fiza police station area in the wee hours on Saturday.
The two deceased youths have been identified as Himanshu alias Sourabh Singh (23), and Anuj Singh Parihar (22) and injured youth has been identified as Rishabh Parihar. All belonged to Satna and they were currently lodged in a rented flat in Vivek Apartment here.
A police officer investigating the case said Anuj and Rishabh were engineering students of Sagar Institute of Science and Technology Collge, while Himashu after completing his engineering was looking for job.
Police said that the three were on a motorcycle bearing registration number MP04-Ml-9377 and were on their way back to home at Vivek Apartment at 12 number stop from lalghati.
After the incident they were taken to Hamidia hospital. Anuj Singh suffered fatal injuries and died on the spot while Himanshu died later during treatment at the hospital.
SHO of Koh-e-Fiza police Manish Mishra said they would get to know how the incident took place after getting the post mortem report. Meanwhile, the police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
