Nearly 70 participants from all over the country participated in this programme.

During the programme, Manik Lal Gupta told the participants about the water footprint which is referred as the total amount of clean water used for the production of goods and services produced by the individual or community. Everything we use, wear, buy, sell and eat consumes water to make. There are three types of water footprint like as Green, Blue and gray Water footprints. The use of gray water should be reduced since it pollutes fresh water. He also detailed about the water footprint of various crops and products.

Gupta also told that earlier civilisation developed near the river bank due to importance of water in life. Later, the people shifted towards ponds and wells subsequently people started use of hand pump and extraction of water with electric pumps due to technical development. Hence, ground water table is being degraded gradually. At the end of session he requested the participants to conserve water through roof top water harvesting etc. and save water by avoiding misuses of water in daily life. He also requested to extend their help in afforestation since forest is mother of rivers.

Consequently, a session for Summer Nature Study Prograamme (Green Cubs) was arranged on Moluding and Casting the expert of the programme was Arvind Anupam, Modeller of the Museum. Nearly 40 participants joined this programme.
