The Special Police Establishment (SPE) of the Lokayukta Bhopal nabbed a Revenue Inspector (RI) red-handed receiving a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a farmer on Friday; accused RI demanded money for demarcation and delimitation of the land.
The accused Rakesh Jatav had demanded bribe for demarcation and delimitation of victim Dinesh Parmar’s father in Satoh and Mathurapura in Vidisha and the victim wanted to complete the procedure and when he had gone for the work he was asked to shed Rs 30,000 for the work. The victim has applied for the demarcation and delimitation and when he had gone to enquire regarding the status of the application accused who is RI told him that Rs 30,000 would be required for work.
For facilitating the work victim agreed to pay the bribe and later lodged a complaint with SPE on Wednesday.
