A 62-year-old retired BHEl employee committed suicide by hanging from a tree at Barkheda under Govindpura police station area on Friday.According to the police, Bhaskar Kamle was found hanging from a tree near his house on Friday and was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead.
He is survived by his wife and three sons. He retired from BHEl a few years ago.The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC. The deceased was jobless and apparently an alcoholic who spent lavishly on liquor.
He reportedly committed suicide in an inebriated state. No suicide note has been recovered. It is possible that the constant requests by the children frustrated him and he took the extreme step, told the police.
Other possibility can be heavy influence of alcohol but it can’t be confirmed till the post-mortem report arrives.The police is also considering being poisoned as one of the extreme possibilities. Family members and locals, however, are yet to be questioned in the case.
