Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that a research centre and library will be established in Tantya Bhil Memorial. Chouhan paid tributes to martyr of first independence movement Shaheed Jananayak Tantya Bhil at his memorial at village Baroda Ahir in Pandhana development block of Khandwa district on Sunday. He felicitated Soni, a descendent of Tantya Bhil with shawl and coconut and assured every possible assistance to her family. After inspection, the Chief Minister directed to make the memorial more grand and useful. Shiv Gupta recited poetic version of Tantya Bhil's life in Nimari dialect.
The Chief Minister announced Rs one crore for development of Pandhana Nagar Panchayat areas. He said that Khandwa will be made state's number one district. Chhagaonmakhan lift irrigation project costing Rs 784 crore in the district has been sanctioned in next financial year's budget.
