The administration with the help of army personnel is making round-the-clock efforts to save the three-year old boy who fell into the dry bore-well in Morena district on Sunday morning. District Collector and SP remained at the site right from the early morning.
District Collector Vineet Khanna told 'The Pioneer' over phone, "We have dug vertically around 45 feet, beside the bore and the difference between the two bores is around 11 feet. However, it is quite difficult to make a tunnel between the two bores for rescue of the child." He further said that the farmer in whose farm the dry bore-well is situated said that probably the well is not straight vertically, which is causing the problem. Moreover, the camera installed by the rescue team to get pictures of the boy also stopped showing pictures from 3 pm onwards.
Even till 3 pm, it could not be said surely whether the boy was alive, because the movements were not clear in the camera, he added.

The boy fell into the borewell while accompanying his grandmother to the fields in the area. local legislator Satyapal Singh Sikarwar told the media that the rescue efforts continued throughout the night. He is being supplied oxygen and watched through a keyhole camera lowered into the hole, he added.
