The Regional Science Centre in Bhopal has announced its annual summer science workshop for school students, offering hands-on learning experiences from April 29 to May 30.

Educator Nitin Bihari Sahu said the workshops have been organised for the past 20 years, catering to students from Class 1 to Class 12 across a range of subjects.

This year, ten different subjects will be offered, with each camp hosting ten students. Registrations are open from April 1 and will close on April 25 both online and offline.

The registration fee varies by class, starting from Rs800 to Rs2500. Each session will be three hours long, conducted daily under the guidance of trained educators.

Workshops for Classes 1 to 5 will focus on arts and crafts. Older students will explore topics like Arduino programming, aeromodelling, and the kingdoms of plants and animals.

Subjects such as ship making and rocketry will be among the highlights. Each participant will work on a project to be submitted at the end of the course.

The duration of each camp will depend on the topic. For instance, a five-day camp is planned on the study of the Sun, while arts and crafts will run for two days.

No refreshments will be provided, but students will receive certificates upon completion. Aeromodelling courses aim to introduce children to technological applications through practical experience.
