There have been many revelations from the diaries and documents recovered from the three Naxalites who were killed in the encounter with Hawk Force on June 20 in Balaghat. Seeing the problems being faced in increasing Naxalite activities due to less local support in MP, the Naxalites were trying to carry out a major incident in MP.
Confiscated Naxalite literature and papers revealed that their target was villagers whom they consider to be police informers. Preparations were also made to target police officers and security forces. The task of operation in the state was entrusted to Naxal Commander Nagesh alias Raju Tulavi.
After the encounter, about 10 Naxalites have fled from the attack site, one among them is also injured in the gunfight. Police is searching for the injured and other gang members.
Anti-Naxal Operation IG Sajid Fareed Sapu said that Nagesh had already tried to carry forward Naxalite activities in the state. However, he could not succeed in his plan due to lack of cooperation from the villagers.
The activities of the infamous Naxalite and Commander Dhama have come to the fore for many years. Sources reveal that he is no longer active due to gangrene in his leg. He is living in the forests of Chhattisgarh. After this, Nagesh was handling the responsibility of Naxalite expansion in MP. The Naxalites of Vistaar-2 had arrived to support the Tanda Dalam operating in the state. During this an encounter took place and Nagesh, Manoj and female Naxalite Rame were killed.
