The MP Nagar police hasbooked a rape accused for threatening victim near District court on Tuesday. The victim had lodged a complaint with MP Nagar police.
Police said that the accused Prashant Singh threatened the victim who went to appear in the court for hearing in the rape case and when she, along with the mother, came out, the accused threatened her of life.
The victim approached the police and lodged a complaint against the accused who came to threaten her and escaped from the spot. In her complaint, she stated that her mother was threatened earlier also for not appearing in the court but they braved to reach the court and later when they came out of the court, the accused threatened her.
Police have registered a case under section 507 of the IPC and started further investigation.
Notably, Piplani police arrested the accused for sexually assaulting and exploiting the victim and a case was lodged after victim lodged complaint. Police said both the accused and victim were acquainted and accused used to visit her and later sexually assaulted.
After committing the heinous crime, the accused had assured that he would marry her and later continued to sexually exploit her. Later, when the victim asked to marry the accused, he refused and threatened her of life if the victim informed to her family and police about the incident. But the victim informed the incident to the family.
Police have registered a case under sections 376 of the IPC and nabbed accused and later when he was released on bail he threatened the victim and her mother.
