The former president of TTTI and Congress leader Mahendra Singh Chouhan has alleged that BJP’s MlA from Narela Vishwas Sarang has not taken any firm steps to search for the large number of girls missing from the city.
On the fourth day of the Jan-Jagran Yatra, addressing a meeting at Mansa Devi Mandir, he alleged that the rampant lawlessness is witnessed in the State.
Supporting his allegations, he provided the data of missing girls in the city. In the last 4 years, around 1487 girls went missing and 377 girls are still untraced.
The pleas of family members to find their missing girls went unheard by MlAs and police and yielded no results.
The Yatra started from Mansa Devi Mandir and ended at famous tea stall at 80 feet road. During the Yatra the complaint box was filled with the complaints of the locals against the present MlA.
He alleged that the residents under the Narela assembly seat are facing acute scarcity of water. Several areas do not have water tap connection and in these areas water is supplied by water tankers of BMC with a frequency of 3-4 days. The biggest problem is the mediators who are selling the water of these water tankers at a price of Rs 30 to Rs 120.
The Congress party workers distributed pamphlets highlighting the income tax raids , medicine scam and acquittal of Backward and Minority Welfare Minister Ajay Bisnoi’s brother. After his acquittal he demanded an officer’s wife in return of preferred posting was also mentioned in the pamphlet.
