The Opposition Congress in Madhya Pradesh has alleged that rampant corruption is going on in the amounts released in the name of Simhastha by the Ministers, officers and contractors.

Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee spokesman Ravi Saxena in a statement here on Thursday said, “On the one hand Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is doing unpardonable work of getting applause by inaugurating the incomplete works of Simhastha, while on the other, saints harassed with the mess and mixing of five ravines water in Kshipra are doing hunger strike.”

Saxena further said that Pilot Baba is doing Satyagraha up-to New Delhi against mixing of Khan River’s dirt in Kshipra River while the astute ministers of the state who are hands in gloves with officers and contractors are doing rampart corruption in the amount released for Simhastha. The condition of corruption and the activities of corrupts’ touts could be seen in every department of the Simhastha city Ujjain that the game of expending lakhs of rupees in the name of urgent works is being done on petty works is going on, he added.

He said that similar practices were done during the 2004 Simhastha in that name of the then minister in-charge Kailash Vijayvarigya to a small employee did corruption by doing irregularities, scams and loots of the government money, the enquiry report of that is pending in the cold baggage till now and now after twelve years similar loot is going on.  All rules and regulations are flouted for obliging dear and near ones and the law has been put on hooks, example of that is the lED poll tender in that High Court has ordered to cancel the tenders, he added.

He said that the corruption is going on in the cover of MP Work Conduct Act 1956 in that game of corruption is going in the name of urgent expenditure without clearance of the state cabinet.
