Governor Ram Naresh Yadav has said that the Ramcharit Manas is an epic inspiring all and source of mutual harmony among human beings that will remain ever relevant. The Governor was addressing concluding session of 7-day Tulsi Jayanti Programme of Tulsi Manas Pratishthan at the Raj Bhavan here on Monday.
He said that knowledge without character has no importance in person’s life. Tulsi Das Ji has conceptualized a social system based on realities of life in Ramcharit Manas. On the occasion, Governor Shri Yadav greeted Manas Marmagya Didi Mandakini by presenting her a shawl, coconut and memento.
Governor Yadav said that Tulsi Das Ji introduced lord Ram as Maryada Purushottam in Ramcharit Manas. lord Ram is known as Maryada Purushottam since he never crossed propriety. Present-day malpractices and difficulties can be got rid of by following lord Ram’s ideals of sticking to propriety, discipline and restraint.
In her discourse, Manas Marmagya Didi Mandakini said concept of Ram Rajya of lord Ram can be possible in present times also. lord Ram established Ram Rajya on humanitarian foundation by keeping away from deceit, duplicity, opportunism and politics. His Ram Rajya stood for everyone’s welfare, equality and prosperity.
Enumerating difference between character and leelas, Didi Mandakini said that character is the personal disposition of a person and leela is a posture made by him or her playing a role on a stage. She said that we should imbibe teachings of Ram Katha in our lives and characters also.
Principal Secretary to Governor Vinod Semwal, Chairman of Tulsi Manas Pratishthan Ramakant Dube, RD Shukla and large number Ram Bhakts were present on the occasion.
