Masood, while talking to the media persons here on Wednesday, said, “The rally is being organised with the aim to aware the people with the shortcomings of the BJP Government of the State.”

Masood further said that during the BJP rule about 160 incidents of communal riots took place that ruined the peaceful atmosphere of the State. The law and order has been exhausted under this Government’s and criminal elements had literally ruled the State, he added.

He further alleged that the State Government was misusing the funds provided by the Central government for the development of State. Crores of rupees were sent by the Union Government for Madarsa education to the State but no one knew where has that funds gone. The BJP Government failed to send the utilisation certificate of this amount to centre in the year 2012-13. This being the reason that funds for Madarsa education were not sent to the State in the years 2012-13 and 2013-2014, hampering chances of regeneration of Muslim community, he added.

He said that under the Multi-Sectoral Development Programme (MCDs) for the minorities over Rs 15 crore was sent to the State for the construction of Modern Madarsa and hostels for girls of the community but due to indifferent attitude of the State Government this fund got lapsed. The negligence of the Government towards minorities was such that the MP Urdu Academy was not able to confer awards to poets and authors in the State, he added.
