Rains restricted to State's isolated places

Published on:

Rainfall activities have recessed in the state and the state capital as there had been no rainfall in Bhopal for the last few days and same is the condition of many other places. In last twenty-four hours, rains were restricted to isolated pockets of the State.

It had rained only at Sagar during the past twenty four hours in the state that recorded at 40 mm of rains.

As of now, State is witnessing break in monsoon condition. The reason is this that there is no strong system present adjacent to Madhya Pradesh and monsoon trough has gone to the foothills of Himalayas. The axis of the Monsoon trough is running close to the foothills of the Himalayas. Weather will be mainly dry in the northwest plains and North Madhya Pradesh. A fresh Monsoon system is now lying over west-central Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh coast. This will bring fairly widespread rainfall over coastal parts of the country.  In East and Central parts of the country, scattered light to moderate rains will be seen over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Jharkhand.

The weather office has predicted rains or thundershowers at many places including Sagar and Rewa divisions and in Shivpuri and Ashoknagar districts and at few places in Indore division and Dewas, Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Datia, Guna, Betul, Hoshangabad, Vidisha, Katnai, Umaria and Shahdol districts and at isolated places in rest of the state.
