Raids after complaint from Jain's associate

Published on:

IPS officer Mayank Jain was fond of dealing in land and thus he purchased land in all the cities where he was posted and even included some of his fellows in this business.

According to the sources, one such associate was Arifuddin of Ratlam, who having knowledge of all his secrets, filed a complaint with the lokayukta police with evidence submitted through affidavit.

This complaint was made when Jain was posted as DIG in Ujjain. Since then secret investigation was going on against Jain.

Sources said that his most of the relatives reside in Uttar Pradesh and there too he has made heavy investments. A team of the lokayukta might go to Agra for getting information in this regard. Name of one of his associates is Dinesh Sharma, who helped Jain in purchasing several properties and in return he got his share.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Babulal Gaur has asked the lokayukta Police to furnish him the details of the raids conducted at Jain's premises. Departmental action would be initiated against him only after getting this report, he told.
