The birth of lord Krishna’s true love ‘Radha’ was observed with a lot of enthusiasm here on Monday.
Notably, a programme was organised ‘Radha Utsav’ here on Monday at Manas Bhawan.
The programme was organized by Utsav Samiti, Bhopal. The programme was all about bhajan singing and the Bhopalites took the full fledged pleasure of it.
Notably, Radha is known to be the lover of lord Krishna. She always remained loyal towards him. Also a lot of stories describe about their passionate love and their eternal relationship. The Raas leela also describes the stories about them.
The programme was all about the devotional songs for Radha that left the audience enthralled. The programme began with the recital of Amita Nand which mesmerised the music lovers. Her melodious voice captured the interest of the audience. The clarity in her voice makes this genre even more melodious and an impact indelible. Her performance was more like a feast for the music lovers. Her performances took the audiences into mesmerizing heights of ecstasy.
After that a competition was organized that remained the attractive feature of the programme. Interestingly, as many as 50 women participated in a competition in the form Gopiyan or Sakhiyan (friends of lord Krishna). And the best Gopi or Sakhi among them was felicitated too. Kumudini Tomar and Mukta Mishara were present as judges here.
Minister of higher education, Umashanker Gupta was present as chief guest here. A large number audiences including devotees as well social workers were presented on the occasion. The programme was coordinated by Subhadra Tiwari and conducted by Ekta Jaiswal.
