On the occasion of International Labour Day a webinar was organised by Rabindranath Tagore University on Saturday.

Prince Abhishek Agyani, director of Darshan Jan Sangathan and editor of the daily Independent newspaper, was the  keynote speaker in the online discussion organized by the National Service Planning Unit Rabindranath Tagore University.

He called for volunteers of the National Service Scheme to help the laborers during the Corona epidemic. Socialist Mudit Bhatnagar, the distinguished speaker of the program, threw light on the background of Labor Day and said that we need to understand the detailed definition of laborers today.

In fact, laborers are not just people working in fields, roads or factories, but also those working in banks, railways, IT companies etc. because in today's time they are also finally facing all the same problems that they are facing.

A common laborer struggles. When we can see this detailed definition of laborers, then we will also be able to move towards an overall reform movement. In the program, Dr. Rekha Gupta spoke about the help work done by the volunteers of the National Service Scheme for the laborers during the Corona period.

It is a matter of concern that the same worker, despite being a producer, has been stumbling rate after rate. It is not that the condition of the laborers was good earlier, their condition was also bad before, but today their condition is more pathetic in the era of epidemic.

We saw thousands of migrant laborers barefooted and hungry on the streets in the scorching sun last year.

We have seen them die on the railway tracks. But it is a pity that the laborer who works hard for us day and night, we do not even think for such laborer in such a situation. We continue to discuss big issues and declare ourselves to be era-visionaries, but forget that we may be era-wise, but the real era-maker is a laborer.

The programme was conducted by Swayamsevak Yash Kumar Jaiswal and the program officer of gratitude Gabbar Singh. Important presence was of Rahul Singh Parihar, Usha Vaidya,  Harsha Sharma and Savitri Singh Parihar.

Mayank Sahu, Avinash Chauhan, Bornika Raut, Shivani Kumari, Manisha, Prabhat Singh, Kaluram, Ishika Namdev, Sonakshi, Rahul Tiwari were present on the occasion.
