Auf-e-Shahi Bhopal on Wednesday informed that Qurra (draw) for the allotment of Rubats at Mecca and Medina for the Haj pilgrims going to perform pilgrimage for Haj 2014 from Bhopal, Raisen and Sehore would be held on Thursday, June 5 at 10 am at Sufia Masjid.
Shahar Qazi Bhopal Syed Mushtaq Ali Nadwi, Mufti Bhopal and members of the executive board of the Auqaf e Shahi would be present on the occasion. Officer on Special duty - Auf e Shahi Bhopal Ameer Bux has called on the pilgrims selected for Haj 2014 by Haj Committee of India to present.
In a statement, Bux informed that the executive board of the Auqaf e Shahi has made arrangements for stay of 250 pilgrims at Mecca. Qurra would be done by adopting complete transparency and impartially before the people, he added. Notably, the Rubats were built by the erstwhile Nawabs of Bhopal in Saudi Arabia to felicitate Haj pilgrims from their State that also includes Raisen and Sehore. Bhopal's begums had built these palatial accommodations for the pilgrims from the then princely state. The two Rubats were managed by the Indian consulate earlier but due to renovation work these palatial houses were razed. But the newly constituted board has made arrangements this year for the pilgrims from princely state.
