Yet another incident of demanding bribe has surfaced after an audio clipping became viral on Whatsapp. This time, in the recording, an officer is demanding bribe in the name of Principal Secretary of PWD.
In a complaint filed with the lokayukta SP in Rewa, SDO of PWD in Rewa Anil Kumar Mishra has alleged that the Executive Engineer Ramakant Tiwari is demanding bribe from him. In support of his allegations, Mishra has handed over an audio recording to the lokayukta officials.
Mishra in his complaint said that Tiwari who has joined as the Executive Engineer this year only asks bribe in the name of Principal Secretary Pramod Agarwal and if the bribe is not given, then he tortures through Agarwal.
However, the PS PWD termed the allegations as baseless and said that he has nothing to do with all this and that he is unnecessary being defamed in this.
One assistant engineer RP Shukla has also lodged a complaint against Tiwari. The complaint lodged with the lokayukta and Superintendent of Police Rewa says that Tiwari is demanding bribe with him. “I could not pay the desired bribe due to bad financial condition and thus I was suspended,” he added.
Notably, on the prior occasion an audio of IFS Ajit Shrivastava posted in Jabalpur came to fore in that he was heard asking bribe of Rs 22 lakh.
Meanwhile, SP lokayukta – Rewa TK Vidyarthi said that he has received the complaint against PWD executive engineer for demanding bribe. The audio provided by the complainant is being examined. On getting its report, action would be taken against the guilty, he added.
