Shivpuri: Protesting the new Educational Policies introduced by State Government, the private schools here will remain closed on July 31.

Notably, the Government has set new policies for the private schools’ operation across the State. As per the policy, one acre of land is mandatory by the Government for secondary and high school accreditation. Besides, the Government has made BEd and DEd degrees compulsory for the teachers. A meeting of Private School Association was held on Saturday at Shivpuri in this connection. During the meeting it was decided that all the private schools of Madhya Pradesh will remain closed on July 31.

The representatives from all the private schools from the district were also present during the meeting. The school representatives and the members of Private Schools Association discussed about the new policy of Government. During the meeting they discussed on all the aspects and supported the decision of closing down the schools in protest of this policy.

Notably, other than the representatives of private schools, other committees have also supported the decision. The Government has made one acre of land mandatory for the schools for accreditation. According to the school representatives, it will be next to impossible.

The representatives said that the schools which are operating from years, they will not be able to get one acre of land now.

Besides, they also discussed about the BEd and DEd degrees which are also made compulsory for all the private school teachers.

The school representatives reasoned that the teachers after completing the degrees apply for Government positions. In this case it will be really tough to find teachers for private schools.
