The pump model test for Pranhita Chavella PKG-VI Hydro Electric Project situated in Telengana State has been successfully carried out in the hydro lab of BHEl, Bhopal, in the presence of engineers from I &CADD, TSGENCO & NAVYUG.
The test proved the pump capability to meet the guaranteed efficiency, discharge and other guaranteed parameters. PV Ramana, Adviser (TSGENCO); Sreedhar (I & CADD); Dinesh Kumar, General Manager, Hydro, BHEl, Bhopal; M Mangla, Additional General Manager, Hydro lab, BHEl, Bhopal and other senior officials were present at this juncture.
Pranhita Chavella PKG-VI Hydro Electric Project situated in Telengana State has Four Pump, each of 124 MW rating with pump operating under rated net head of 105.45 m. Design and development of pump suitable for this project was carried out by Hydro lab Engineers.
PV Ramana, Adviser (TSGENCO) and Sreedhar (I & CADD) speaking on this occasion congratulated BHEl & Hydro laboratory in particular for completing the 1st milestone as per schedule, giving higher efficiency than guaranteed. He further hoped that BHEl would meet all its commitments in time. He specially thanked Hydro lab test facility team for explaining the test in detail. He said that BHEl laboratory is at par with other international laboratories in term of quality and Accuracy.
Dinesh Kumar GM (Hydro) in his address said that “Model Testing activity is one activity which is carried out ahead of agreed scheduled. He further asked Hydro lab team to maintain this tradition.M Mangla, AGM (Hydro lab) declaring the result thanked all associated with Model Test. He especially thanked customer for their co-operation and dedication during Model Witness Test. It is noteworthy to mention that Hydro lab has successfully completed 47 contractual Model Tests. This year model test of all type of turbine Kaplan, Francis, Pelton and lift irrigation scheme pump have been planned out.
