The much-publicized Beer Yoga event in Indore which was scheduled to take place in a prominent hotel of the city on Sunday (July 16, 2017) has finally been cancelled following vehement protests by some local social and cultural organizations of the city.
Confirming this, Indore range DIG told this newspaper that organizer of the event has been told to cancel the Beer Yoga program on the basis of feedback, they received from the city people. Diksha Gulati who planned this event as well as management of Hotel Kanchal Tilak also confirmed about cancellation of Beer Yoga event in Indore.
Rajesh Bidkar, convenor of the Bhagwa Brigade who spearheaded the protest against this event two days back, said soon after he came to know about the Beer Yoga program through various social media platforms, he contacted various social and cultural organisations of the city and sought their support for cancellation of this event.. I wrote letters and personally met officials of the Bharat Vikas Parishad, Surabhi and other organizations and requested them to join his campaign against the event.
