The classical music lovers would witness a tabla recital by a renowned tabla player Pandit Kiran Deshpande. He would be playing in a live concert organised under the Parampara series of classical music by Anhad wing, Bharat Bhavan.
He would be performing before the Bhopalites here on Saturday at Antrang Hall, Bharat Bhavan.
Known to be one of the most wonderful tabla players, Pandit Kiran Deshpande has the ability to create a lyrical magic in his concerts. Notably, this is not the first time when Pandit Kiran Deshpande would be playing at Bharat Bhavan.
He has given mesmerising performance earlier as well and not only this, his son Supreet Deshpande has also performed before the Bhopalites.
Tabla virtuoso Pandit Kiran Deshpande is the foremost disciple and worthy successor of the Delhi of Farrukhabad gharanas' legendary Ustad Shaikh Dawood Khan sahib.
As an artist of rare caliber, Kiran Deshpande's identity is rooted in clarity of 'Bols' (syllables), soothing balance of sound (naad), technique and crisp rendering of even the most complicated compositions of Tabla. Grounded in good 'Taaleem' (learning), rigorous 'Riyaz' (practice) and strong conviction for the freedom of expression, he has been able to bring in shades of the great maestros into his art while retaining his own distinct identity. He consciously includes rare traditional bandishien (compositions) in his recitals as his contribution towards their preservation in original forms.
As Pandit Kiran Deshpande is practicing the tabla recital for past many years, he is a master in captivating the audience towards the enchanting ragas he plays on stage. This would be a musical delight for the classical music lovers of the city.
