Public Health Minister and State Government's spokesman Narottam Mishra has said that doubting a constitutional body like the State Public Service Commission is a mean mentality.
Mishra said that Public Service Commission is an independent, autonomous and constitutional body in which the state government has no jurisdiction. He said that the allegations made by leader of Opposition Satyadev Katare regarding exams conducted by the commission are baseless.
He said 12 posts were advertised including 5 for reserved classes. Of these, one was reserved for SC and 4 for ST. Of the unreserved and SC posts, one post each was reserved for women.
Rules were complied with in the release of selection list. It has been alleged that Tina Yadav included in the list belongs to OBC, but she has been selected from SC quota.
Mishra has also described the charge of destroying commission's record as baseless. He said that the state government has no intervention in rules of the commission. lakhs of candidates appear in exams of the Public Service Commission and submit crores of answer-sheets.
He also referred to the rule in other states about destruction of answer-sheets. Maharashtra has the rule to destroy answer-sheets in 6 months and Rajasthan 3 months.
