Prove worthiness to AICC: Diggy to ticket aspirants

Published on:

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi’s object-lessons during his Madhya Pradesh visit last month have started showing results. Party general secretary and former Chief Minister of the State Digvijay Singh told the ticket aspirants waiting to see him at his residence on Tuesday to submit their claims before the AICC and MPCC observers as it was they whose recommendations could get them party ticket.

Singh told them publicly, “Don’t waste your time by making rounds of leaders’ houses, as no leader could fetch ticket for them. Follow party line set by Rahul

Gandhi for getting the ticket, he made it clear to over 200 ticket aspirants who reached his residence early in the morning.” He said that survey was going on in the State, AICC observers are already roaming in all the constituencies of the State and ticket would be given to only those whose names would figure in the survey findings.

“Forgive me as I would not be able to cross the party line for getting ticket for anyone, put up your claim before the observers appointed by Rahul Gandhi and the MPCC, it is the finding of the survey done by these that would

decide the fate of party tickets in all the constituencies,” said the Congress general

secretary.

He said, “Establish contact with the State Congress president and improve your performance in the constituency from where you are seeking ticket so that your name could figure in the ongoing secret survey by Congress vice-president’s appointed observers.”
